This Privacy Policy explains how PitchLock (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use PitchLock – True Tone Guitar Tuner, available on Android (package name com.pitchlock.app).

Information We Access

Microphone

PitchLock requests microphone permission to:

Detect guitar string pitch in real time
Identify notes and chords while you play
Display tuning feedback (note, cents, meter)

Audio is processed entirely on your device. It is not recorded, not saved, and not sent to us or any third party. We do not operate servers that receive your audio.

Speaker / headphones

The metronome plays short click sounds through your device audio output. This does not collect any personal data.

Information We Do Not Collect

PitchLock does not collect:

Name, email, or contact details
Location or GPS data
Contacts, photos, or files
Audio recordings or transcripts
Advertising or device identifiers
Analytics or usage tracking data

Third-Party Services

PitchLock does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media SDKs. Your data is not shared with external services by the app.

If you install PitchLock via Google Play, Google may collect information under its own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

App preferences (tuning preset, A4 reference, sharps/flats display) are saved locally on your device only. Uninstalling PitchLock removes all app data from your device.

Your Choices

Deny microphone permission — tuner and chord features will not work
Revoke access anytime: Settings → Apps → PitchLock → Permissions
Uninstall the app to remove all local data

Children's Privacy

PitchLock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Because audio is processed only on your device and never transmitted to us, your audio cannot be intercepted by our servers. We recommend keeping your Android device updated.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of PitchLock after updates means you accept the revised policy.
